Dizzy is a dropper

I met this cracker on route to Maynooth…. Initially the sleek body and incredible pace led me to think there may be some lurcher genes or aesthetically perhaps Italian greyhound…but no Dizzy (the rascal ) is half German pointer half spaniel!….quite common within the gun dog fraternity as opposed to designer chic.Speed to burn unlike the photographer I’m afraid!!. The weekends running consisted of two 13 mile runs…the first attacking to hit sub 8 minute miles, the second a steady run at 8 min miles.Pacing for me is a big issue, I’m just not that good at it !Runners will know the importance of this skill… Unlike my four legged friends I do have limited energy reserves!
